Our last stop in Yamanaka was Japanese style hotel. Yamanaka is famous for onsen (hot springs) that's why these ryokan had different styles of onsens. From outside the hotel looked like a traditional Japanese house with small garden. When we entered the first thing I noticed was a smell. In the halls there were aroma sticks which made very specific smell. I decided to wright about the ryokan because I liked the design and the atmosphere there. Every room was well-planned and there was exit to a garden and bath at the balcony. And if you open the windows you could hear nothing except insects. Some rooms has outside baths with cold water. There also was a common room for the residents of the hotel. The design was very interesting. It was Japanese style but a little bit different. I think it was 20th centuries decoration because they had some European style furniture. It was first time in my life to see this kind of design.
I had a chance I would love to stay in the ryokan at least one day to feel real Japan.
